Hazel partners with K-12 districts to provide children healthcare through their school.
As educators continue to navigate the complexities of safe reopening and post-pandemic priorities, Hazel’s team of pediatric experts support student health and whole child development.
Using an iPad app for video chats in the nurse's office, Hazel collaborates with school nurses and health aides to evaluate students in need of care. Students can see a Hazel doctor for anything from acne and allergies, to anxiety and depression.
Hazel doctors save valuable time for school nurses and staff by communicating with parents, advocating for student health, and offering families and staff guidance and resources to drive healthy decisions. Schools with Hazel have lower absenteeism for simple health concerns, better support for parents with limited healthcare access, and an extra layer of care and partnership during COVID-19.
At home, families can schedule a visit with a Hazel doctor to address health concerns before sending a child to school or to access helpful advice or resources to care for their child. If necessary, a Hazel doctor can connect a student to the right services to get care.
Hazel is the only telehealth provider designed for schools, following FERPA and HIPAA, and school district health policies, and fully integrates with schools including referrals to counselors.
